Effective Altruism

Sally Kohn: I think effective altruism has scalability problems. She says it's perfectly reasonable to care more about some people than other people and prioritize their well-being. But the idea that you shouldn't do that is preposterous, she says. Kohn: Many theorists have advocated noble lies on a massive scale; utilitarianism can be both true and effective.
