The Role of Molecular Subtyping in Primary Colorectal Cancer

There's been a lot of work looking at molecular subtyping of primary colorectal cancer. We first turned to those subtypes and asked whether they were prognostic in liver metastases. And so we applied the consensus Molecular Subtyping both to the primary tumor as well as the liver metastase. And in fact, there was no prognostic impact in either of those settings. By contrast, when we applied our molecular subtype to the liver metastases, we saw dramatically different outcomes.
