The only thing that makes sense about the argument is that if the premises were true, the conclusion would be true. But i should say, i'm giving a much better version of the argument than i think is as usually made. If it were true that were causing a climat catastrophe, let's say, climate apocalypse, and all its benefits were rapidly replaceable, then you should rapidly eliminate it. Now you might think, why isn't the market doing that? There's a lot of questions that arise. It's ultimately beause i think both premises are false.
