I was taken see a lot of rep theatre because there was a small rep theatre in bedfordshire. What struck me about this was how kind of artificial it all was. The actors would be literally inches away from one another, yet talk incredibly loudly and always just made me laugh. And em that was a big inspiration. I mean, wasn't the effect they were going for, you know, seriousness,. but it just used to make me with laughter. It really feels like something that is, in some ways, culturally specific to the u k.
