Cheating in Quant Investing

There was this sensational uh sort of cheating scandal recently and i heard about it a little bit by a twitter so my knowledge is the kind of knowledge you have when you've seen like three tweets about something. There are situations where actually the computer does know better than us in chess and investing. The answer has something to do with the thought we couldn't even think about god or ethics or mathematics if it weren't for the fact that thought is by its nature non-accidentally attached to its subject matter.
