The New Thought Theology, Is God Incarnate?
In the 1890s, Samuel Morris discovered that he was God incarnate while attending an African Methodist Episcopal Church. He wanted to create this divine economic land where everyone would have social equality. His wife didn't agree with him and so he actually left her behind. The climate in which this theology was developing is post-Civil War; it's now a time of freedom for black people.
