The fate of Sweden's bid to enter the alliance became clearer after we talked to Felicia yesterday. Turkey had been standing in the way back down at the last minute, which all but ensures Sweden's entrance into NATO. And so, the focus again turns back to Ukraine. I think there's quite a big debate among the allies. No one is saying that Ukraine will join this week. It's generally NATO's policy that a country with an active conflict wouldn't join.
President Biden and other world leaders say it’s too dangerous to admit Ukraine into NATO while it’s at war with Russia. But, to the dismay of allies, the US will send cluster bombs to the front.
