The Story for Uber Has Changed, CEO for Uber?
Uber's story has changed, the type of CEO you want for Uber has changed. The more successful you've been with a story in the past, the more difficult it becomes to let go. For Tesla, it's no problem: You had no story before you can tell your new story. If you're ExxonMobil, you can tell me until you're blue in the face that you want to be a green energy company. But I'm going to have a tough time believing that you can make that transition because your success is rooted so much in getting oil out of the ground and being good at it.
