What I've Learned From the Assessment of a Patient With Arthritis
Body language was not telling me that this patient had arthritus. If patients are scared, their auditory system is just like any other sentry system. It filters according to previous experience and our fears and our anxieties. Her big fear was she'd started with our thritus, and it was going to stop her getting back to all the things that she wanted to do. Some very simple things can really then pin a massive barrier to success.
