Jesus Is Welcome in My Father's House

Mark's gospel explains to us that what Jesus did in a dramatic moment in the temple he had actually been doing in hidden quiet moments all along. We know that he's staying in the city of Bethany during his final week but Mark 14 tells us more specifically while he was in Bethany reclining at the table in the home of Simon the leper. That's where Jesus is eating his meals and laying his head at night and having his morning coffee during the final week of his life. To enter the home and share the dinner table of a leper would have made one according to the Levitical Law ceremonially unclean.
