The Importance of Women's Suffrage

The 1961 census showed that 75% of rural dwellings got their water still from a well-fantened or pump. 12% of homes had a hot water tap, just 12%. A survey of the Irish country woman revealed a third of a women's life was spent carrying water. Fittanoi Tour recalls quite late on getting a couple of pints of Guinness for him and a woman. And when the barman realised that the other pint was for a woman he insisted on putting it into two half glasses.
