China is eyeing a spot known as the Shackleton crater at the South Pole of the moon to land their Chinese server mission. There's a limited number of sites where you can kind of get access to these craters which are permanently shadowed and might have water icing, but at the same time have a high enough elevation for energy from the sun. So there is some overlap in the sites that the US and China are planning. But I've had something where you really need coordination and discussion between these space actors to make sure that things go as well as they can.
