Do You Have Emotional Issues in Your Classroom?
It's good to be aware especially if kids are coming from home environments that are unstable. You know anyone who has grown up in an environment where they could not predict their caregivers' moods due to alcohol, drugs or mental illness knows how demanding that is on a child. I've seen an increase in students with just with heightened sensitivity. A very full room almost feels noisy. The visual input reads is loud to me. This can release you from some of the pressure to have the most like over decorated classroom on the block.
