I think finding women writers who are mothers or artists who are mothers, that always for some reason, because the bar for fathers is so historically low. Mothers have always been, like, taken to this, you know, a much higher and more impossible standard. I feel like reading stories of mothers who were great artists or mothers who were good writers can be helpful at certain points. A lot of people who are good parents and also good writers, they have a good partner - Ursula K. LeGlen had a husband too.
On this weekend episode of the Daily Dad, Ryan talks with one of his favorite writers Austin Kleon on Parenting strategies before and after writing a book, and Creativity within your household.
