In 2021 foreign direct investment to African countries hits a record high of 83 billion US dollars according to the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development. But in spite of this total investment flows to Africa, a mass of may 5.2% of global FDI. So why is that? Antpetifer is a London-based macro-economist who has served in an advisory capacity to the Nigerian government. He thinks it's probably because they are risk averse.
