The Defense Authorization Act - $3 Billion in Annual Military Aid for Taiwan
The draft National Defense Authorization Act includes $3 billion in annual military aid for Taiwan. Congress is not sure if these funds are going to be approved, if they're going to make it through appropriations. The bill also includes $1 billion in annual presidential drawdown authority which lets the US send countries weapons from their stockpiles.
