The Case of Brendan Bernard and Edward Hill
Edward Hill, known by his nickname Nippie, claimed he killed Brendan Bernard. Edward suffered from Earthy's disease, a childhood hip disorder that caused lifelong deformities and osteoarthritis. He also had a mild intellectual disability which made him the target of schoolyard bullies. A heavy drinker who used cannabis, heroin, morphine, and methamphetamine, Edward was convicted over 80 times in 29 poor appearances between 1985 and 2010. Police were unable to prove whether these accusations were true due to Edward's unfounded stories. The U.S. government is still seeking justice for Brendan Bernard after all three men have been charged with murder.
