Did You Like Your Dad's Jokes?

The first time i heard it was as i read to him from kant's critique of pure reason. I assured zan that some humans do find puns amusing. Beyond that, though, was the question, why did robert alfterhorst find this joke funny? I couldn't think of a clear answer. Dad's love of puns was part of what made him who he was, but the reason for his love was undiscoverable. He'd been trying to discover my sense of humour, not dad's.
