Male Representation in Education

This chapter explores the journey of a male teacher from Jamaica who experiences the gender disparity in education while reflecting on his role as one of the few male educators in Georgia. It discusses the cultural implications of the declining number of male teachers and emphasizes the importance of male role models for boys in schools. The chapter highlights the challenges male teachers face, the unique behaviors of boys in educational settings, and the need to redefine perceptions of black boyhood.
