The Implications of Using Open Source Software

I would not be at all surprised if within five to 10 years we have some lawsuits where somebody has unintentionally plagiarized code from an Apache project for example. And then it's a matter that they violated open source licensing agreements, very likely unintentionally by using co pilot or whatever you know chat GPT 17 or whatever it is at that time. So I could see that sort of thing happening. A lot of companies will prohibit their developers once they're aware of the problem, but prohibit the developers from using AI based coding tools because they don't want to risk that sort of lawsuit.
