The Freedom of Paul

In Acts, it's recorded that Paul used his rights as a Roman citizen to get out of jail. But in this particular instance, what Paul is showing us is there are times when for the sake of the other we ought to forgo our rights. In 1956, psychologist Jack Bream discovered that the act of committing to something actually increases your satisfaction. If you receive a right, it's also your right not to exercise that right.
