I was convinced that the future of computing is going to be determined by some new programming language, some new paradigm. But then when servers came around and it became clear to me later on that, well, most of the things that we were trying to solve, a lot of problems, are better served at the layer above. And again, that was a big reflection point for me to kind of realize that while a lot of the time I spent just teaching myself nothing, you see a little something from that which still enriched your perspective.
