In light of the incarnation, would you say that we were made for friendship? As if friendship was a critical piece of human flourishing. From aristotle to plato to thomas aquinas it happens in a friendly dialogue within the context of aa conversation of friendship. Modern philosophy followed that much more introverted path. Classical thought is truth seeking in the context of friendship. And that matters enormously.
