In the early years, i was a micro manager. Times i would be a bit of a martinet or a real stickler for what i wanted,. And as i matured and i started to learn that my role was not to be a great lieutenant or a great captain in the in the isolated sense, my role was to be a good leader for them. I had to learn to listen to my non commissioned officers, my sergeants. It takes sort of re ordering of understanding how the organization actually works.
