Local Government - The Third Challenge

I've watched a huge change in people's trust, the belief in their understanding of council and their willingness to be involved in council processes. Increasingly local government feels that there's not a process by which we can explain why it's relevant to your life on a daily basis. You could argue that councils are not only even more relevant, they're more crucial than they ever have been. And we need to bring people back into the fold and feel that you are part of making place. In my view that the collection of housing unaffordability, climate change in action and child poverty are in fact one issue bound up with redesigning our cities for warm, dry, carbon zero houses.
