Do You Owe an Employer Any More Loyalty Than What Is Contracted?
i think that morally speaking, there's no argument in favor of loyalty to say that you owe somebody something that hasn't been contracted too. We don't live in a world where your company has any genuine loyalty to you,. You don't, i think, owe your company any genuine loyalty beyond being a loyal employee while you are there and being honest. And not a single time have i ever felt like my employees who quit harmed me in some moral sense. I recognize very clearly that my loyalty to them goes as far as to pay them for the work that they have done, and their loyalty to me goes as faras to do the work that ihave paid them to do.
