The Purgatory of Dante's Inferno
Dante's Inferno is what has kind of if it is captured the modern imagination. But in some ways, it's really the purgatorial and the Paradiso where the real action begins to happen. The deeper repentance we get closer to God, the souls become more joyous. And so I think sometimes these ways that Dante wants to do is give us perspective.
