The international financial action task force suggested a law in 19 89 and india moved its own prevention of money laundering act in 19 98. Author and advocate on record in the supreme court, citran chul sinha, says that while the law was meant to battle money laundring, it had one big quirement. A case of money laundering had to be linked to another case relateg to crime or terrorism.
