The State Medical Boards and the Pandemic
In each state, there are medical boards that license and regulate the practice of medicine by physicians. The state medical boards members are typically appointed by the governor. In some places, states have passed laws specifically to get around this authority. And what I need to add is in most cases, the state board does not even begin investigation until there's a specific complaint.
