i'm always so shocked when, and this still happens on a depressingly regular basis, people make it clear to me that they're upset by something i've said or done. So if he said something superficially dismissive or a bit cruel to you, ye, then it's like, don't take it personally. Though i'm sure he would have hated the idea of me being hurt by it, absolutely. And especially as they get older, where they've become more vulnerable, yes, and then, and their emotions are closer to the surface,. i'm liable to see them still as being sort of in their primeand sometimes i'm guilty of maybe imagining that they're more robust
