The Importance of Humility in Science

I treasure above all the, and I don't know what to say, nationalistic about this, but the British tradition of empirical thinking. The idea of testing, of trying out, of seeing, of vindicated epidemiology in medicine and, and Experimenter characters like Faraday and Tom Sino are my hero for it. And they're sort of people. It goes back to Pascal having these theories of light, but not thinking of picking up a piece of cardboard and putting a hole in it. So Newton was in that sense, he had many faults, of course. But at least he was, he was, yeah, an experiment. Exactly.
