How Did You Become a Memory Champion?

I may not have had a good memory, but i had a really good work ethic for something that i was passionate about. And that obviously shows with this memory stuff. So the second thing i was going to say that surprised me is how quickly you became world class. It was literally a year to go from mister average to us. National champion. Wasn't that intense?
