The Shackle of Sisyphus

A shackle is a U-shaped piece of metal secured with a bolt across the opening. The term also applies to handcuffs and other restraint devices. Sisyphus made his way back to Ephira, where he continued his cunning and deceitful ways until he was a very old man. He asked his wife to throw his body in the agora: A central public space like a town square. She did what he asked and threw his body into the open space of the agora.
