Colodon and the Art of War
I think it's very popular to believe that english verse is scots and the irish are completely kept out of the picture. I remember speaking to a few highlanders whom i recently met up here, and they didn't actually know that the english were on jacobite sides. So perhaps we need to unpick any notions that colodon can be linked as a rallying flag around nationalism. And it turns out it's a history that's not very well taught in schools up here, which i think is so, so fascinating.
