Ruper was written as a way of drawing attention to some of what was happening on the ground at that time. The stories in this book are of those that we love, those whom we cared for. I wouldn't really describe this as a book as such. It was more tan account because i wanted us to be accountable to each e, to ourselves. You have a duty of care towards your patients, but there's also a duty of candour. And i think when you do that, it's no longer centred on me or them. It's about that connection. Ruper is out now from bloomsbury (£8.99)
