Manifest Heritics Can Not Be Popes

The Catholic Church teaches that Manifest Heritics are not members of the Church and cannot hold office in the Church. Diamond: A valid Pope is by definition a member of the Church who professes the true faith. Every pope after Vatican II is or was a manifest heretic, so there have been no authentic popes after Vatican II. The only kind of people who could be prevented from being or remaining pope are those who are guilty of the crime of heresy, he says.
