Jacob chansley, known as the cuanon shawman, is appealing his sentence of more than three years for his role in the january sixth capital riot. He entered the building in an unauthorized way and obstructed an official proceeding. The big difference between him and some of the other rioters is just sort of notoriety that he managed to establish in the hours after the riot.
