Muller was a true believer in the bureau. He believed that the bureau was a prostine, brilliant investigative agency. The meeting was a ridiculous waste of time and money. Different prosecutors have different motivations for this kind of conduct. They're perfectly comfortable prosecuting people who have not mitted crimes. And these people have built careers on the graves of people whose lives they've buried through unjust prosecutions. That's how business is done in big law it's fratning thas.
