Apple is now interested in buying flash memory from the chinese semi conductor company, y m t c. I don't see a reason why we should not allow apple to do this - i'm much less nervous about china catching up there relatively quickly. There's no evidence that they're needed at this point. You look at returns and invests a capital, nothing suggests that there's a big, fundamental problem here that needs taxpayer subsidies.
In this episode, Felix, Mihir and Charlotte discuss what countries and companies should do about the chip shortage and discuss the future of Uber, Lyft and Doordash.
