The Importance of Recognizing Good Quality Work
I think people only recognize certain kinds of good quality or hard work and recognizing it consistently and over time that really matters. I've written recommendation letters for someone's promotion directly to their boss because not even at my company. Recognizing good quality work and recognizing hard work, these happen less often than you realize. PyTorch always thought we were good about the breaking changes and it's culturally within the project we care about not breaking user land. It's the passionately think about how it doesn't matter if it's a user land bug, it is our problem. Once users do it intuitively then it's our problem to fix and solve.
