What's the Story of the Hiring of Prostitutes?
The hiring of prostitutes in such a group context, where they likely have little choice in what activities to engage it or not, might be better characterized as the commercialization of gang rape. And especially in this post earthquake context, it was just so disgusting to me that the people who are supposed to be there to help would be the same people who are purchasing sex from very vulnerable people. The term terminology around prostitution is also a controversial when people are engaging in transactional sex and sex work because it's their only way to live.
