The Rise and Fall of Poems
The last time I was involved in the UK poetry scene that was the kind of the passion people had for it. And there was a real belief in the sort of revolutionary power of poetry that now seems absolutely insane. Now I look back on it incredibly sort of quixotic and sort of, you know, in some ways very self-aggrandizing. It's become to see more and more ridiculous as certainly after 2008-9, that's kind of come under strain.
