Is the New Deal for Working People a Good Idea?
Do you think we're likely to see trade union membership and militancy rise in sectors that are currently not strongly unionized? Or are we more likely to get further action in those sectors where the unions are already strong? Do you think we need to see the abolition of the anti-union laws to see real growth and expansion into new sectors? I think there are encouraging signs, so for instance, one of the groups that have really come into the fray for this wave of strikes are charity workers.
