What's the First Thing to Go?

When decomposition happens on a body, what is the first thing to go? My notes say partially decomposed. But it does tell me though that she's been missing for five days. In all likelihood, she probably was killed near or shortly after she went missing. How do you distinguish that during an autopsy? Well, there are times when you can definitively say that damage to the body is postmortem.
