processed foods were a pretty cool development at the time, but they ultimately became increasingly loaded with sugars and unhealthy fats. And then you get fast food chains and soft drinks using enticing advertising to promote these products that are really nutritionally devoid of value but are really high in calorie sugar and fat. I mean, it's clearly marketed towards kids because, you know, you create these customers early and they're going to be customers for life. It doesn't matter if you're selling a lot of high quality food. In fact, it's more profitable to sell lower quality, less nutritionally dense foods.
