The Importance of Leadership in Architecture
Thomas: I think as Martin Fowler has a post of, you must be this tall to ride microservices. And if you only have 10 people, you should not do it. You need someone to work on your platform. How do you make it easy to spin up new services and tear them down? The last thing we didn't get to is leadership. Every architect still needs to write some code. But all developers can do architecture. Thomas: DDD really gets to the heart of that. It's like, how do we define our domain and recognize that what the languages within my domain isn't the same outside the domain?
