The Taliban's Dilemma in Afghanistan
Afghanistan never lost its sovereignty, unlikee rock. No insurgency has ever been able to topple a government that continues to maintain weapons and money from its international patron it's what i call the insurgents dilemma. It's easier to get rid of foreigners than it is to topple afghan governments. The taliban can only really hope to take power if the afghan government essentially first collapses because it's not supported or out of its own incompetence.
