Hyperbolic Discounting, Is It Really the Right Way to Discount Cash Floes?

Soso: In my book, i have a chapter on hyperbolic discounting. Can you canyou describe what this term means? Soso: The traditional way of discounting is time insensitive. But people make decisions that are much more similar to hyperbolic discounts. He says the reason why companies with very predictable cash floes long into the future price higher than other companies in stock market. And so perhaps in aggregate these stolks by discounting their cashlo with ahyperbolic method would be better for investors.
