A Look at American Higher Education in the Sixties
The percentage of african american students falls during the sixties, up until about 19 66 or so. The student movement began at a it is essentially, by the nd of the decade, had spread to all kinds of smaller regional institutions and top tier universities. There was still somebody at berkeley fired for not having a name, names before a congressional investigating committee in 19 64,. just at the same time as the free speech movement.
