When Is Alarm a Good Thing and Should Be Paid Attention To?
We create an emotional signature through the insular cortex in our brain. When we experience trauma and anxiety now, that same bodily program shows up in us because I know it shows up in my solar plexus. The alarm is your younger self asking for your to be seen, heard, loved, protected in a way that they weren't back then. And if we can show that alarmed child that's still in us, that they are seen, heard,. loved and protected by us, by the adult version of us, then a lot of that alarm can dissipate.
